Before working with us, this ambitious serial entrepreneur had struggled to create a business that was resilient enough to last longer than 5 years. The sales revenue ceiling was stuck at £250,000 and net profits were much lower than desired. In spite of accomplishing far more than many young businesses ever achieve, this entrepreneur was determined to reach even greater heights!

Operating in the construction industry, our client was experiencing insidious challenges frequently encountered across the sector. As an expert craftsperson and extremely competent salesperson finding work was not a problem. However, due to pervasive industry-related issues, too much time was spent firefighting dealing with every problem as it arose diverting precious time away from revenue-earning activities.

​

Our task became immediately apparent during our discovery consultation where it became evident to us that the task of running and administering the business had become an overwhelming burden. Much the same as it does for many of the businesses and entrepreneurs we've met who are experts in their trade or profession.

 

So much so in fact, it was restricting growth affecting this entrepreneur’s ability to exceed £250k in trading income. It was stifling the level of resourcefulness that would normally be available in less stressful times to improve profits. It was also curtailing resilience both financially and emotionally preventing the entrepreneur from trading successfully beyond a 5 year period.

As proven experts in our field of legitimate ethical business growth and the art of business administration, we know how essential it is to embed good business practices and administrative procedures in order to have a sustainable business. One that can last far beyond the UK average of 2 to 5 years. We also know this is much easier said than done! 

 

Accordingly, we overhauled our client’s processes and procedures to the point where firefighting was no longer necessary. This created more time to implement strategic plans and significantly reduced stress levels. All in less time than it takes a world record holder to circumnavigate the globe!

After working with us as a private consultancy client, annual sales revenues increased to £750,000 on a regular basis – occasionally hovering close to £1 million. Net profits increased to 200% and the business continued trading strongly well beyond the 5-year point. Being better able to weather intense market competition and difficult economic trading conditions, our client has celebrated their 10-year business anniversary and is still successfully operating today.

Before working with us, these passionate co-founders were frustrated and running out of available funds after heavily investing tens of thousands in product research and development. They were struggling to get their patented product to their desired market in the agribusiness sector. Being an early-stage start-up meant it was extremely difficult to access the additional funding they needed.

Before working with us as an early-stage startup, this aspiring entrepreneur was struggling to compete in an extremely crowded market that had very low barriers to entry due to very low start-up costs. Having purchased low-cost marketing materials and basic cleaning products, this cleaner started targeting domestic customers but was frustrated at the slow rate and low level of take-up.

During a brief consultation, we offered up an alternative option that would increase income and reduce competition.
